Direct Support Professional (DSP) - Remote Caregiver Role
About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Direct Support Professional (DSP) remote caregiver to join our team at Dungarvin. In this role, you will provide essential care and support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD). Your contributions will ensure their health, safety, and achievement of personal goals while enriching their lives.
What You'll Do
- Provide direct care and hands-on instruction to individuals with I/DD.
- Assist with daily living activities such as dressing, bathing, grooming, and eating.
- Prepare meals and snacks, ensuring dietary needs are met.
- Perform light housekeeping and laundry duties to maintain a clean environment.
- Offer mobility and transfer assistance, including the use of mechanical lift devices.
- Implement positive behavior supports and de-escalate challenging behaviors.
- Document care and communicate effectively with team members.
- Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Previous experience supporting individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities is preferred.
- Ability to provide references and attend two weeks of paid in-house orientation and training.
- Strong communication skills for documentation and collaboration.
- Dependable, adaptable, and flexible in a team-oriented environment.

- Knowledge of Oregon State Department of Human Services requirements.
