DevOps Engineer - Remote Position at Pearster

About the Role

We are seeking a talented DevOps Engineer - Remote to join our innovative team at Pearster. This fully remote position offers the opportunity to work with a U.S.-based company, focusing on designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable cloud infrastructure. As a DevOps Engineer, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our cloud migration and application modernization efforts, ensuring that our solutions are robust, secure, and efficient.

What You'll Do

• Design, implement, and manage scalable infrastructure in AWS.
• Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
• Develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment processes.
• Manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Improve system reliability, availability, and performance.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions.
• Enforce security best practices across cloud infrastructure.
• Collaborate with engineering, QA, and product teams to streamline release processes.
• Participate in incident response and root cause analysis.
• Continuously evaluate and improve DevOps practices and tooling.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or related roles.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, VPC, EKS, Lambda, CloudWatch, etc.).
• Proven experience with Terraform for infrastructure provisioning.
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, CircleCI, etc.).
• Solid knowledge of Docker and container orchestration (Kubernetes/EKS).
• Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, or similar).
• Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools (Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, etc.).
• Strong understanding of networking, security, and cloud architecture principles.
• Experience working in distributed/remote teams.
• Upper-intermediate to advanced English level (written and spoken).

Nice to Have

• Experience with multi-cloud environments.
• Knowledge of serverless architectures.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
