Design Engineer - Remote Opportunity in AI Security

What You'll Do

• Continuously improve the look, feel, and usability of the platform by rethinking navigation, redesigning workflows, and elevating the visual standards of the product.
• Build and maintain a robust, reusable component library to ensure the engineering team can deliver polished UI consistently and efficiently.
• Take features from initial concept through to production across the full stack, ensuring the final output is both functional and aesthetically pleasing.
• Serve as the primary design voice within the engineering department, unblocking colleagues on UX questions, critiquing implementations, and advocating for intuitive UI.
• Collaborate closely with co-founders and the broader engineering team to explore creative product directions and refine existing user experiences.

Requirements

• At least 3+ years of deep technical mastery within the JavaScript ecosystem, specifically with React and TypeScript.
• A sharp eye for product design and intuitive UX, with the ability to identify and correct subtle interface issues.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a willingness to iterate quickly based on feedback.
• Must be based in San Francisco or able to work remotely in North or South America.

Nice to Have

• Prior experience with product design or design tools such as Figma.
• A proven track record of building or maintaining comprehensive design systems.
• The ability to contribute to the creative design process, not just the implementation of existing designs.
