Assistant Manager, Accounting - Remote Opportunity
About the Role
We are looking for an Assistant Manager, Accounting to join our team at Gen II Fund Services. What You'll Do
- Assist with the preparation and review of all client and investor-specific deliverables, including Net Asset Value calculations and Financial Statements.
- Review journal entries, including cash and non-cash transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Perform thorough reviews of trial balances, supporting work papers, and waterfall schedules.
- Prepare and review capital events activities, ensuring all supporting documentation is filed according to internal procedures.
- Actively participate in weekly calls with clients to address engagement needs.
- Demonstrate understanding of fund governing documents, industry guides, and GAAP.
- Ensure adherence to control processes and escalate complex matters appropriately.
- Lead the coordination of year-end audits and liaise with external providers for tax return preparation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, or a recognized accounting qualification (ACA / ACCA).
- A minimum of 4 years of practical accounting work experience.
- Good knowledge of Luxembourg corporate laws and private equity fund structures is desirable.
- Strong knowledge of US & LUX GAAP is desirable.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, contributing to a strong team spirit.
- Result-oriented with a sense of responsibility and commitment to delivering quality work.
- Ability to work autonomously and take full ownership of assigned responsibilities.
- Competency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Nice to Have
- Experience with waterfall calculations.
- Strong organizational skills complemented by a “can do” attitude.
