Multi-Skilled Machinist (Turning & Milling) - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking a Multi-Skilled Machinist to join our team at British American Tobacco. This remote opportunity allows you to contribute to our mission of producing high-quality tobacco products and innovative solutions that reduce health impacts. As a Multi-Skilled Machinist, you will be responsible for manufacturing, restoring, and repairing spare parts for factory equipment to ensure seamless operations.

What You'll Do

• Manufacture and repair spare parts for various types of equipment based on production department requests.
• Perform minor locksmith work related to spare parts manufacturing (cleaning, straightening, bending, cutting, etc.).
• Process components on lathes, milling machines, drilling machines, and grinding machines using cutting fluids and tools.
• Cut external and internal threads of various types and profiles on lathes.
• Milling open and semi-open surfaces, teeth, gears, and racks of various configurations.
• Install and align large components of complex configurations with combined fastening.
• Adjust and calibrate serviced machines as necessary.
• Adhere to safety regulations, production instructions, and internal procedures.

Requirements

• Experience as a lathe operator or milling machine operator, with a qualification level preferably not lower than 4th.
• Knowledge of the design features of metal-cutting machines and accuracy verification rules.
• Understanding of methods for installing, securing, and aligning components.
• Knowledge of geometry and heat treatment rules, sharpening, and finishing cutting tools.
• Basic knowledge of metal cutting theory and other materials.
• Skills in using measuring and control tools.
• Ability to learn quickly and openness to innovations and changes.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Technical education (secondary specialized or vocational-technical) and proficiency in Microsoft Office will be an advantage.

Nice to Have

• Experience in a similar role within the manufacturing sector.
• Familiarity with CAD software for design purposes.
• Knowledge of quality control processes.
