We are seeking a dedicated Cleaning Operative to join our team at HMP Lewes, a CATEGORY B & Male prison. As a Cleaning Operative, you will play a vital role in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards within the facility.

What You'll Do

• Perform cleaning duties across various areas of the prison, ensuring high standards of cleanliness.
• Work collaboratively with a diverse team of professionals, including Plumbers, Electricians, and Administrators.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations, including knowledge of COSHH.
• Utilize excellent organizational and time management skills to complete tasks efficiently.
• Engage in ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance your skills.

Requirements

• Experience working in a cleaning environment is preferred.
• Knowledge of COSHH and relevant health and safety requirements.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Commitment to promoting a safe and secure environment for all.

Nice to Have

• Previous experience in facilities management.
• Understanding of prison operations and rehabilitation processes.
