Carer Support Worker - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Carer Support Worker remote position at Making Space. As a Carer Support Worker, you will play a vital role in empowering and assisting carers in Cheshire. This role is perfect for individuals who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of others.

What You'll Do

• Provide one-on-one support, advice, and information to service users and carers.
• Assist carers in developing coping strategies and conduct home visits.
• Provide information about mental health services available to them.
• Conduct carer assessments to understand their needs better.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure a holistic approach to care.

Requirements

• No prior industry experience or specific qualifications are necessary.
• Must possess a full UK Driving Licence and have access to own transport.
• Demonstrated alignment with Making Space's core values.
• Willingness to undergo on-the-job training and pursue professional qualifications.
• Ability to travel throughout Cheshire East for home visits.

Nice to Have

• Experience in a care or support role.
• Knowledge of mental health services.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

What We Offer

• Salary of £13.35 per hour, approximately £20,000 - £25,000 annually.
