Assistant Manager, Global Material Flow - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Manager, Global Material Flow to join our team remotely. In this role, you will be responsible for ramping up and growing BASF Intermediates’ technology licensing business across selected subregions in Asia Pacific, primarily focusing on India and ASEAN. This is a unique opportunity to leverage your expertise in chemical engineering and business development while working with a leading global company.

What You'll Do

• Develop customized technology license packages, including engineering services and catalysts supply, for licensees constructing production plants using BASF technologies.
• Build and maintain long-term relationships with industry partners, enhancing BASF’s global business.
• Collect, monitor, analyze, and share competitive intelligence to gain a competitive advantage for BASF.
• Represent BASF at industry associations, conferences, trade shows, and customer events, presenting technical and industry-relevant topics.
• Collaborate with other BASF business units, including Catalysts, Engineering, Intellectual Property, and Global Intermediates Technology to present BASF’s package offerings.
• Negotiate technology license contracts (TLCs) and ancillary agreements required to conclude licensing deals, addressing both technical and commercial aspects.
• Take on special projects and initiatives as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemical Engineering; MBA or post-graduate degree is an advantage.
• Extensive experience (10 years) in engineering services, preferably in petrochemical or chemical plants.
• Experience in technical marketing and sales with advanced negotiation skills preferred.
• High degree of knowledge related to the engineering and design (pre-FEED, FEED, Detailed Engineering) of chemical plants.
