Urban Planning Trainee - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are looking for an Urban Planning Trainee to join our team at Landeshauptstadt München. This remote opportunity allows you to gain valuable experience in urban development, housing, and mobility while working with a leading public sector organization.

What You'll Do

• Participate in a nationally recognized training program lasting over two years, gaining exposure to various municipal and state departments.
• Work closely with the Department of Urban Planning and Building Regulations to understand the roles and responsibilities of leadership.
• Complete practical training segments that may offer flexible working hours, especially for family-related reasons.
• Prepare for the final qualification exam to earn the title of "Regierungsbaumeister*in" (Government Master Builder).
• Engage in innovative projects focusing on sustainable planning and construction practices.

Requirements

• A completed Master's degree in Architecture, Urban Planning, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of building planning and construction law.
• Creativity and innovation skills.
• Ability to cooperate and resolve conflicts effectively.
• Knowledge of sustainable building practices and climate protection regulations is a plus.

Nice to Have

• Experience in urban development projects.
• Familiarity with energy regulations such as the Building Energy Act (GEG).
