About the Role

We're looking for a talented YouTube Channel Thumbnail Designer to join Electrify Video Partners as a freelancer. This remote position offers you the chance to work on engaging, high-performing thumbnails that will captivate viewers and enhance the visual storytelling of our YouTube documentaries and video essays. As a YouTube Channel Thumbnail Designer, you'll play a crucial role in shaping the visual identity of our content.

What You'll Do

  • Design compelling thumbnails that align with the channel’s visual identity and attract viewers.
  • Develop creative visual concepts that enhance the storytelling aspect of our videos.
  • Select and retouch images, composite elements, and use typography effectively to create eye-catching designs.
  • Create and integrate 3D elements to enhance visual depth and engagement.
  • Maintain a consistent, high-quality design standard across all thumbnails.
  • Manage feedback cycles efficiently and deliver designs on tight deadlines.
  • Stay updated on YouTube and media design trends to ensure our thumbnails are relevant and impactful.
  • Collaborate with the content team to translate abstract topics into clear, engaging visuals.

Requirements

  • Proven experience designing YouTube thumbnails or similar visual assets.
  • Excellent sense of visual storytelling, composition, color, and typography.
  • Strong skills in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and either Blender or Cinema 4D.
  • Understanding of how thumbnails influence click-through rates and viewer engagement.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple projects effectively.
  • Business-level English proficiency; basic knowledge of German is a plus.
