About the Role
We are seeking a VP, People Experience - Remote Leadership Role to join Velir, a mid-sized agency known for its impressive portfolio and commitment to fostering a positive workplace culture. In this role, you will be at the heart of how our company grows, shaping not just programs and policies, but also the overall experience of working here. As the VP, People Experience, you will collaborate closely with the Chief People Officer and the leadership team to evolve our people function into one that is deeply human, operationally strong, and connected to our business goals.
What You'll Do
- Champion our company values by integrating them into decisions, behaviors, and systems.
- Design and evolve people practices that align with our culture and growth stage.
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, helping them navigate complexity and build inclusive teams.
- Utilize engagement surveys and feedback loops to understand employee needs and mobilize effective actions.
- Develop thoughtful retention and workforce strategies that align with business objectives.
- Oversee the full employee lifecycle with a human-centered, data-informed approach.
- Ensure performance and feedback processes are fair and motivating.
- Lead compensation and benefits strategy to attract and retain top talent.
Requirements
- 10+ years of progressive HR/People leadership experience.
- Experience in an agency or professional services environment is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to lead through influence in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong business acumen with strategic thinking capabilities.
- Experience managing cross-functional initiatives from concept to adoption.
- Proven ability to mentor and develop HR/People professionals.
- Strong change management and communication skills.
- A bias toward action and continuous improvement.
