VP of Engineering - AI-Driven Healthcare Solutions

About the Role

We are seeking a VP of Engineering to join our team at Leave Your Mark. This VP of Engineering remote position is pivotal in leading our engineering organization, which encompasses software, cloud, data, and developer platform teams. You will be responsible for shaping how our engineers build software and what they create, driving our mission to leverage AI and behavioral science to enhance healthcare experiences.

What You'll Do

• Lead the engineering organization, ensuring the execution of product and platform roadmaps aligned with company OKRs.
• Drive the productization of internal platforms and services for scalable SaaS and PaaS deployments.
• Collaborate with Product, Data, AI, and Behavioral Science leadership to align technical direction with product and research goals.
• Enhance developer productivity through AI-assisted tooling, automation, and standardized engineering environments.
• Establish and track key engineering metrics (e.g., velocity, uptime, defect rates) to inform process improvement.
• Contribute to the technical architecture strategy in partnership with the Chief Architect, ensuring scalability and interoperability.
• Oversee cloud governance and cost optimization, ensuring secure and efficient use of cloud resources.
• Promote privacy-by-design and data governance practices, ensuring compliance with healthcare standards (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR).

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or Computer Science.
• 10+ years of experience, including at least four years in management or technical leadership.
• Extensive hands-on experience building B2B/B2C production systems.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills to engage with executives and senior leadership.
• Experience managing distributed engineering teams across multiple time zones.
• Proficiency in Agile SDLC and full-stack software engineering, including DevOps and Microservices architectures.
• Experience leading AI-centered systems development is a significant advantage.
• Experience in delivering healthcare-related systems/software is a differentiator for this role.
