About the Role

We are seeking a Bid Manager to join our team at EMR, a leader in recycling and environmental services. This remote Bid Manager role is an exciting opportunity to manage the end-to-end tendering process across the UK, helping us secure new contracts and strengthen our position in both public and private sectors.

What You'll Do

  • Manage the full lifecycle of bids and tenders, maintaining a live pipeline of opportunities.
  • Coordinate bid development from initial opportunity through to submission, ensuring proposals are professional, compliant, and delivered on time.
  • Gather necessary technical, operational, and commercial inputs required to develop strong proposals.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to produce high-quality tender responses and client presentations.
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders throughout the tendering process, supporting presentations, negotiations, and discussions.
  • Monitor market activity, customer trends, and external movements to ensure our bidding approach remains competitive.
  • Conduct post-bid reviews, gathering feedback from clients and stakeholders to strengthen future submissions.
  • Ensure all submissions align with relevant quality, environmental, and safety standards.

Requirements

  • Experience managing bids or tenders in a complex, deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships internally and externally.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Organized and commercially aware with strong time-management skills.
  • Experience within construction, recycling, waste management, or environmental services sector is advantageous.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in a fast-paced commercial environment.
  • Proven track record of successful bid submissions.
  • Knowledge of procurement portals and contract notices across the UK.
