About the Role

We are seeking a talented UNIX/Linux System Administrator to join our dynamic team at adesso Spain. This UNIX/Linux System Administrator remote position offers an exciting opportunity to work in the aerospace sector, providing operational support for UNIX/Linux systems in client environments. You will be part of a collaborative team of around 10,000 professionals across Europe, dedicated to delivering high-impact technology projects.

What You'll Do

  • Provide operational support for UNIX/Linux systems in client environments.
  • Manage incidents, problems, and changes through a ticketing system.
  • Collaborate on new IT infrastructure projects.
  • Document procedures and configurations clearly and accurately.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and on-site shifts, including weekends during maintenance windows.

Requirements

  • IT degree or relevant work experience.
  • Strong knowledge of UNIX/Linux (preferably Red Hat or Oracle Linux).
  • Experience with backup management systems (e.g., Veritas NetBackup) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, KVM).
  • Experience in Windows server administration.
  • Knowledge of ITIL and service management best practices.
  • Strong documentation skills.
  • Willingness and motivation to learn new technologies.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in cloud technologies.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python).
  • Familiarity with network protocols and security.
