Treasury Manager - Remote Position for EMEA Markets

About the Role

We are seeking a Treasury Manager - Remote to join our dynamic team at Wave. Our mission is to make Africa the first cashless continent, and we need a strong leader to help us achieve this goal. As a Treasury Manager, you will play a crucial role in launching and stabilizing treasury operations across new markets in EMEA. This is not just a steady-state operational role; it is a build-and-transfer position that requires high autonomy and strong execution capabilities.

What You'll Do

• Lead end-to-end treasury setup in new countries, including banking, funding flows, and controls.
• Partner closely with Legal, Compliance, Finance, and Operations teams to ensure readiness before and after market launch.
• Define and implement local treasury operating procedures aligned with Wave regional hub standards.
• Coordinate with field teams to manage liquidity agents and cash rebalancing activities.
• Act as the primary treasury point of contact throughout the launch and ramp-up phases.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in treasury management or finance roles, with a focus on Treasury Manager - Remote operations.
• Proven track record of successfully launching treasury operations in new markets.
• Strong understanding of banking relationships and regulatory compliance.
• Experience in designing and implementing funding models and liquidity management strategies.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills to train and onboard local treasury staff.

• Experience in the FinTech industry.

• Fluency in multiple languages.
