Corporate Tax Manager - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking a Corporate Tax Manager to join our team at Ballards LLP. This remote Corporate Tax Manager position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a progressive firm of chartered accountants based in Worcester, UK. You will be instrumental in helping businesses and private clients achieve stronger financial performance through integrated tax, audit, and consultancy expertise.

What You'll Do

• Manage complex compliance and advisory projects related to corporate tax.
• Take ownership of technical compliance work, ensuring accurate implementation of tax planning.
• Support junior team members in delivering high-quality advisory assignments.
• Liaise directly with HMRC, clients, and third parties to address tax matters.
• Research and interpret complex tax legislation, providing clear communication to clients.
• Contribute to business development activities, including technical marketing and events.
• Mentor junior members of the Corporate & Transactions Tax team.
• Play an active role in the firm’s growth ambitions.

Requirements

• ATT or ACA qualification with 2–3 years’ post-qualification experience in a corporate tax compliance and/or advisory role.
• CTA qualification or a desire to study towards it.
• Strong UK corporate tax knowledge with a pragmatic, commercial mindset.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organization skills with the ability to manage deadlines independently.
• Experience mentoring or supporting junior team members.
• A collaborative, team-oriented approach with a commitment to diversity and inclusion.
• A genuine desire to grow professionally and contribute positively to firm culture.

Nice to Have

• Experience working with not-for-profit organizations.
• Familiarity with Alphatax.
