Director of Creative Economy Data Program - Remote Opportunity
About the Role
We are seeking a Director of Creative Economy Data Program to lead our initiatives in enhancing the understanding of the creative economy on a global scale. This remote position offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of creative industries through data-driven policymaking. As the Director, you will guide the development and implementation of the Creative Economy Data Model (CEDM) and support member states in their data collection and analysis efforts.
What You'll Do
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of the WIPO Creative Economy Data Model (CEDM), integrating current digital economy trends.
- Develop innovative tools and reports that translate CEDM outputs into actionable policy recommendations for decision-makers.
- Determine priorities and allocate resources for timely delivery of work products, ensuring key risks are managed effectively.
- Provide strategic advisory services to Member States on the impact of creative industries on economic, social, and cultural developments.
- Guide Member States in implementing their own creative economy data collection and analysis programs.
- Design and deliver capacity-building programs to enable countries to measure and analyze creative economy data.
- Foster partnerships with governments, NGOs, academia, and the creative industries to advance initiatives.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to develop integrated strategies that amplify WIPO's impact on creative industries.
Requirements
- Advanced university degree in economics, cultural economics, or related disciplines.
- At least fifteen years of technical experience in the creative economy, including governmental and intergovernmental organizations.
- Extensive experience in economic and policy studies on the creative economy, preferably at the regional or international levels.
- Experience in policy planning and implementation, translating reports and data into actionable policies.
- Proven experience leading and managing teams and resources effectively.
- Excellent written and spoken knowledge of English; knowledge of other UN languages is desirable.
Nice to Have
- Experience in copyright matters and managing the digital transformation of creative industries.
