About the Role

Are you passionate about travel and looking for an exciting opportunity to inspire others? We are seeking a Tour Leader (Remote) to join our team at Intrepid Travel. As a Tour Leader, you will immerse travellers in the local culture of the UK and Ireland, creating unforgettable experiences that they will cherish forever.

What You'll Do

  • Provide exceptional customer service, storytelling, and travel advice, guiding morning market explorations and organizing hands-on craft workshops.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of your travellers, assisting in challenging situations while remaining calm and professional.
  • Host, lead, and execute tours within budget, following the itinerary and completing administrative duties with precision.
  • Share your passion for travel, inspiring customers with your love for the UK and Ireland, embodying our core values of being Ambitious, Impactful, Real, and Together.
  • Engage closely with travellers, ensuring they have a memorable journey while managing logistics and schedules effectively.

Requirements

  • Excellent communication skills in English.
  • Strong customer service experience and the ability to build rapport with a diverse range of travellers.
  • Travel experience in the UK and Ireland, with a passion for sharing these regions.
  • Basic computer skills, including experience with email, Word, and Excel.
  • Full rights to work as a freelancer in the UK and Ireland.

Nice to Have

  • Previous experience as a tour leader or in a similar role.
  • Knowledge of local cultures and customs in the UK and Ireland.
  • First aid certification.
