About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Telecommunications Team Supervisor to join our team at Mission Support and Test Services, LLC (MSTS). This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead a high-performing IT Network Telecommunications team, ensuring the smooth operation of critical telecommunications systems. As a Telecommunications Team Supervisor remote, you will oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of radio, microwave, telephone, fiber optics, and other IT systems.

What You'll Do

  • Supervise day-to-day operations of the Telecommunications team, ensuring all work adheres to Integrated Work Control Process requirements.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and participate in recruiting, selection, and training of staff.
  • Establish work assignments and evaluate tasks, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
  • Champion adherence to Integrated Safety Management (ISM) and foster a strong safety culture within the team.
  • Oversee all phases of I/OSP construction projects, including fiber and copper installation, splicing, and drops.
  • Monitor team performance against established metrics and goals.
  • Interact with vendors and customers to ensure excellent service delivery.
  • Assist in diagnosing and triaging user problems effectively and efficiently.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field, or equivalent training and experience.
  • Minimum of 8 years of related experience in telecommunications and IT systems.
  • Strong technical knowledge of RF engineering, signal propagation theory, and fiber optic and copper cabling.
  • Experience in field telecommunication team leadership.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and Visio.
  • Excellent problem-solving, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong leadership and project management capabilities.
  • Ability to develop and follow policies, procedures, and productivity standards.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with analog IT systems, including telephones and alarm notifications.
  • Understanding of SLAs and KPIs.
  • Innovative mindset with a willingness to lead technical efforts.
