Technical Project Buyer - Remote Opportunity in Light Manufacturing

About the Role

We are seeking a Technical Project Buyer to join our team at HH Global. This role offers a unique opportunity to work remotely while contributing to our innovative projects in light manufacturing and outsourced production. As a Technical Project Buyer, you will be responsible for executing Permanent Point of Sale and Retail Fixtures + Fittings for our market-leading client brands and retailers. You will leverage your product and materials knowledge to research potential new suppliers globally, ensuring effective handovers and multi-party engagement as part of project implementations.

What You'll Do

• Manage the sourcing of third-party manufacturing and assembly capabilities based on technical drawings.
• Utilize your expertise in materials such as wood, metal, and plastic to ensure high-quality production.
• Engage with analytics to compile RFQ documents and manage the tender process from specification to award.
• Collaborate with client engagement, design, and engineering teams to ensure project briefs are clear and comprehensive.
• Negotiate contracts and pricing to guarantee execution at the highest levels.

Requirements

• Proven experience in technical buying and sourcing outsourced manufacturing capacity.
• Strong knowledge of materials and production processes, including familiarity with quality standards.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills to work within cross-functional teams.
• High level of analytical ability and proficiency in Excel.

Nice to Have

• Experience in Permanent Point of Sale Materials and Retail Display + Fittings.
• Demonstrated relationship management skills.
• Experience with business process re-engineering and procurement outsourcing.
