Finance Officer - Business Controller & Partner Services
About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Finance Officer (Business Controller & Partner Services) to join our team at NATO. As a Finance Officer, you will play a crucial role in transforming our financial processes and ensuring compliance with organizational standards.
What You'll Do
- Provide financial guidance and advice to the organization, collaborating with business partners to analyze financial data and support financial planning.
- Manage revenue and cost budgets related to services, ensuring forecasting accuracy and financial controls.
- Perform financial analysis of organizational and managerial performance against key metrics and KPIs.
- Prepare and monitor financial reporting to ensure compliance with organizational standards and procedures.
- Oversee service costing, including service rate development, cost monitoring, and financial management of services.
- Lead and manage staff aligned with organizational standards.
- Support operational decision-making by capturing, analyzing, and presenting relevant financial information.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline with 3 years of post-related experience, or a minimum of 10 years of extensive expertise in financial management in lieu of a degree.
- Knowledge of accounting practices and standards, financial forecasting, and ERP systems such as Oracle.
- Proficiency in Business Intelligence tools such as Power BI.
- Experience in financial analysis and performance measurement (metrics, KPIs), service costing, and relevant reporting practices.
- Leadership abilities to manage and motivate teams.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
Nice to Have
- Experience with NATO financial frameworks, CIS reports, and service rate calculations.
- Training or certifications in financial management, accounting, or other related fields.
- Knowledge of additional languages, particularly French.
