About the Role

We are seeking a Systems Engineer - Modern Workplace (Hybrid) to join our team at Transgrid. In this role, you will play a crucial part in deploying and managing modern workplace systems, ensuring they meet industry best practices and service level expectations. This position offers a competitive salary package of $183,575, including a 16.5% superannuation contribution, and the flexibility of a hybrid work environment.

What You'll Do

  • Deploy, manage, and continuously improve modern workplace systems, including Microsoft 365 technologies such as Intune, SCCM, Teams, Entra, Office, and OneDrive for Business.
  • Provision and manage both physical and virtual end-user computing environments, maintaining a secure and optimized Standard Operating Environment.
  • Utilize PowerShell scripting for automation and configuration management to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Ensure reliability, security, and performance within a complex enterprise environment.
  • Translate complex technical concepts into clear, practical language for non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in Modern Workplace, EUC, or M365 engineering roles.
  • Strong hands-on experience implementing and managing Microsoft 365 solutions.
  • Proficient in PowerShell scripting for automation and configuration management.
  • Solid understanding of identity, security, networking, and virtualization principles.
  • Experience working within ITIL environments; familiarity with ServiceNow is desirable.
  • Proactive and solutions-focused approach, with excellent communication skills.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in the energy sector or utilities.
  • Knowledge of emerging technologies in workplace systems.
  • Certifications related to Microsoft 365 or ITIL.
