Standard Java Engineer - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

R Systems is searching for an experienced Java Engineer to join our team of innovators! This Java Engineer remote position offers an exciting opportunity to work collaboratively on an agile team to build cloud-native SaaS services and on-premises applications. You will have the chance to design and develop both front-end web UIs with a strong UX focus and back-end applications using Java and REST APIs.

What You'll Do

• Work collaboratively on an agile team to build cloud-native SaaS services and on-premises applications.
• Design and develop front-end web UIs with a strong UX focus.
• Design, develop, and test back-end applications (Java) and REST APIs.
• Coach and mentor other team members to foster a collaborative environment.
• Identify and drive improvements and innovations in our software development processes.
• Champion best practices to deliver secure, scalable, and reliable services and interfaces.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of Java programming experience in an enterprise server environment with JUnit/Spock.
• About 2 years of experience with React JS and other front-end technologies such as TypeScript, JavaScript, AJAX, CSS, HTML5, and JS test frameworks (Jest, Cypress, Jasmine).
• Proficiency with IDE & CI toolkit such as GIT, Gradle, Jenkins, Maven, JUnit, and Eclipse.
• Good SQL and data model design skills for RDBMS such as Oracle.
• Existing agile experience working in enterprise product development at scale.
• A relevant third-level qualification or equivalent commercial experience in software engineering.
• Fluency in verbal and written English.
• Proven excellent technical problem-solving capabilities.
