We are seeking a Staff Front End Software Engineer to join our team remotely. This role involves significant travel during the initial 3-6 months. What You'll Do

  • Design and implement user experiences that seamlessly integrate traditional content with AI-powered features.
  • Build interfaces that display real-time health data and adapt based on user input.
  • Collaborate closely with the AI/ML team to develop frontend patterns for streaming responses and error states.
  • Participate in planning sessions with partners and stakeholders, contributing to roadmap execution without explicit guidance.
  • Travel periodically to engage with clients and present solutions.
  • Document existing systems and design decisions to reduce ambiguity and improve processes.
  • Communicate effectively on project history and technical topics during interviews and presentations.
  • Contribute to the evolution of complex products, uncovering constraints and opportunities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and 9+ years of engineering experience.
  • Expertise in content management systems, preferably Drupal and WordPress.
  • Proficient in React with TypeScript, including hooks and context for building complex interfaces.
  • Experience with USWDS (U.S. Web Design System) and responsive design frameworks.
  • Familiarity with state management and async data handling (Redux Toolkit, React Query, or SWR).
  • Practical exposure to AWS services like S3, Lambda, and DynamoDB.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Astro for efficient content-heavy sites.
  • Knowledge of WebSocket/SSE for real-time features.
