Staff Engineer - AI-native Software Development

About the Role

We're hiring a Staff Engineer (AI-native Software Engineer) to join our innovative team at RWS Group. This remote position offers a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge AI software development projects. As a Staff Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of building AI-assisted applications that transform how enterprises utilize technology.

What You'll Do

• Utilize AI coding tools like Claude Code, Cursor, and GitHub Copilot to enhance your development process.
• Engage in full-stack development, working with a hybrid Java/Python architecture on AWS services.
• Debug integration issues, design new workflows, and refine React components as needed.
• Shape our AI-assisted development practices by contributing to our prompt library and CLAUDE.md context engineering.
• Ship production software that meets aggressive timelines and is used by real enterprises.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of professional software development experience.
• Demonstrated experience with AI-assisted development tools (6 months minimum).
• Strong understanding of software architecture principles and comfort with multiple programming languages (Java, Python, TypeScript).
• Experience with modern development practices including Git, code review, testing, and CI/CD.
• A passion for AI development tools and a proactive approach to learning new technologies.

Nice to Have

• Experience with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, AWS Bedrock).
• Familiarity with agent frameworks (LangChain, LangGraph).
• Background in content management and microservices architectures.
• Contributions to open-source AI tooling.
