Interpreting Manager - Remote Opportunity at FIFA

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Interpreting Manager to join FIFA in a remote capacity. As the organizer of some of the biggest and most iconic sports events in the world, we lead the way in the sport and event industry. What You'll Do

• Organize interpreting services with the existing interpreting pool for online, hybrid, or on-site meetings and events.
• Lead assigned projects, ensuring they are delivered to the highest quality, on time, and within budget.
• Manage teams of interpreters, either online or on-site, to meet project needs.
• Support FIFA’s Interpretation Unit in expanding the pool of interpreters based on evolving requirements.
• Draft cost estimations, participate in budgeting processes, and control budget execution.
• Establish interpreting plans and assign interpreters based on project specifications.
• Monitor quality and draft reports to ensure standards are met.
• Build positive relationships with freelancers and FIFA stakeholders, providing tailored solutions.
• Participate in tender and procurement procedures for interpreting platforms and equipment.
• Inform and train colleagues on the use of the IMS Technology Integration.
• Evaluate and implement AI-assisted interpretation tools, optimizing their use for quality control.
• Contribute to internal guidelines for responsible AI use and best practices.

Requirements

• At least three years of experience as an interpreting manager or in a similar role within the language industry.
• Strong management experience in major project events or international sports events.
• Fluency in English and Spanish or French is essential; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
• Master’s degree or equivalent in the language industry (translation/terminology/interpreting).
• Client-oriented with the ability to adapt service levels to different projects.
• Proficient in interpreting platforms and tools (e.g., Interactio, Kudo, Zoom).
• Open to AI-assisted tools and technologies.
• Willingness to travel at least one month per year.
