What You'll Do

• Design and evolve a scalable, cloud-native lakehouse platform to support healthcare data initiatives.
• Define modeling patterns and governance frameworks to ensure data integrity and compliance.
• Lead design reviews and guide teams in developing scalable architectures for data solutions.
• Drive long-term platform strategy and evaluate emerging technologies for data processing.
• Design and implement robust data pipelines for various healthcare data sources.
• Develop frameworks for data ingestion, quality assurance, and observability.
• Produce clean, analytics-ready datasets to support decision-making processes.
• Implement HIPAA-aligned access patterns to ensure data security and compliance.
• Architect Databricks workloads for efficiency and performance.
• Integrate Databricks with Azure services to enhance data processing capabilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in data engineering, with at least 2 years in a senior or staff-level role.
• Proficiency with Databricks, Spark, Delta Lake, dbt, and Python.
• Experience with large-scale cloud data platforms, preferably Azure.
• Familiarity with Data Engineering and Lakehouse concepts.
• Advanced expertise in data platform architecture and modular framework creation.
• Strong command of distributed data processing techniques.
• Experience in HIPAA regulated environments is a plus.
• Technical leadership and mentorship capabilities.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
