Staff AI Developer Productivity Engineer - Remote

About the Role

We are seeking a Staff AI Developer Productivity Engineer to join our innovative team at Polygon Labs. This remote position offers the opportunity to enhance our engineering organization’s effectiveness through AI-driven solutions. As a Staff AI Developer Productivity Engineer, you will identify bottlenecks across the developer lifecycle and build internal tools that improve delivery speed and quality.

What You'll Do

• Design and implement agentic workflows for requirements clarification, planning, PR generation, and refinement.
• Develop internal tools across IDEs, GitHub, Slack, and web applications to accelerate the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Build and maintain integrations with internal systems to enable context-rich agent behavior.
• Automate workflows like refactors, scaffolding, test generation, and documentation updates using LLM and AST-based tools.
• Lead discovery and roadmap definition through engineer interviews and measurable outcome setting.
• Drive adoption of new tools and workflows through enablement programs.
• Maintain operational excellence, including tool monitoring and versioning.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in building internal tooling, developer platforms, or CI/CD automation.
• Proven experience integrating LLMs into workflows.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD, test strategy, and quality tooling.
• Excellent cross-functional communication skills.
• Product-thinking mindset with a track record of driving measurable productivity improvements.

Nice to Have

• Experience with AI coding tools like Claude, Codex, or Copilot.
• Strong evaluation skills for LLM output.
• Background in large-scale code migrations or refactors.
