About the Role

Join Barceló Hotel Group as a Sous Chef in a dynamic culinary environment. This role offers the opportunity to work remotely while managing kitchen operations and ensuring exceptional service quality. As a Sous Chef, you will support the Head Chef in overseeing kitchen processes and contribute to the overall guest experience.

What You'll Do

  • Assist and substitute the Head Chef in managing and controlling defined processes for service development.
  • Achieve sales plans and generate departmental revenue by planning promotional actions.
  • Organize and coordinate various kitchen services.
  • Control costs by efficiently managing available resources.
  • Manage staff by training, motivating, and developing team skills collaboratively.
  • Ensure service quality meets customer needs and expectations.

Requirements

  • Higher Vocational Training in Culinary Management and/or Hospitality, Tourism degree, training in APPCC.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role.
  • High proficiency in English is desirable.
  • Knowledge of office software, hospitality, and kitchen equipment.
  • Good taste and smell memory, creativity, and manual dexterity.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including kindness, cordiality, and empathy.
  • Excellent communication skills and customer orientation.
  • Ability to work in a team and resolve unexpected issues.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in international cuisine.
  • Knowledge of modern cooking techniques.
