Senior DevOps Engineer - Infrastructure as Code (Remote)

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join Fiskeridirektoratet, focusing on developing future-oriented infrastructure. This remote Senior DevOps Engineer position will allow you to work closely with national and international research institutions, industry partners, and public agencies to promote sustainable management of marine resources.

What You'll Do

• Develop and maintain Fiskeridirektoratet's digital platform.
• Administer and enhance Kubernetes-based core infrastructure.
• Monitor, optimize, and ensure high performance and stability of operations.
• Safeguard security and quality across the platform.
• Support and facilitate effective development environments.
• Establish and operate the "Kubernetes Observability Framework".

Requirements

• Relevant experience with Kubernetes, Terraform, and CI/CD tools.
• Experience in software architecture and/or system development.
• Strong communication skills in Norwegian (minimum B2).
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Relevant education at the university level (bachelor's or master's degree).
• Documented relevant experience can compensate for lack of formal education.

Nice to Have

• Experience with microservices architecture, containers, and cloud solutions.
• Familiarity with SRE methodology, Jenkins, Helm, Grafana/LGTM stack, NetworkPolicies, or Cilium.
