Software Test Engineer - Remote Position

About the Role

We are excited to announce an opening for a Software Test Engineer remote position at HARMAN Automotive. As a part of our global, multi-disciplinary team, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the driving experience through innovative technology. What You'll Do

• Review and analyze requirements to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Participate in discussions with technical experts to clarify testing objectives.
• Write detailed test cases based on requirements to ensure quality assurance.
• Execute tests on partially-emulated systems to validate functionality.
• Develop and maintain automated tests using Robot Framework.
• Report defects and capture appropriate traces and artifacts for further analysis.
• Manage test bench setup and upkeep to ensure optimal testing conditions.

Requirements

• Proven experience in software testing methodologies.
• ISTQB certification is a plus.
• Basic Linux skills to navigate testing environments.
• Basic hardware skills to understand the systems being tested.
• Familiarity with Python and Robot Framework for automation.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Vector tools for automotive testing.
• Knowledge of embedded software development.
• Experience with projects led according to ASPICE standards.
• Familiarity with Jenkins for continuous integration.
• Experience with IBM ALM for project management.
• Telecommunication knowledge to enhance product testing.
