About the Role

We are seeking a Product Data Scientist to join our innovative team at Provenir. This remote role is perfect for someone who is passionate about leveraging data science to drive product development and enhance decision-making processes in the fintech industry. As a Product Data Scientist, you will play a crucial role in transforming research insights into actionable product recommendations that empower financial institutions to make smarter decisions.

What You'll Do

• Lead original research into new AI capabilities, focusing on Generative AI, Agentic AI, and advanced Machine Learning.
• Translate research findings into concrete product recommendations that the business can act upon.
• Engage with customers and internal experts to identify unmet needs before they are reflected in the data.
• Collaborate closely with engineering and data science teams to turn innovative ideas from research into practical solutions.
• Own the product narrative for your workstream, guiding it from initial hypothesis through to roadmap creation.

Requirements

• A strong academic foundation in data science, with a Master's, PhD, or equivalent applied research experience.
• Hands-on commercial data science experience, with a focus on practical applications rather than purely theoretical knowledge.
• Experience with Generative AI and Agentic AI frameworks, as well as advanced Machine Learning techniques.
• The ability to make credible recommendations even when faced with incomplete data.
• A problem-first mindset, prioritizing business needs over technical solutions.
