Specialized Machinist - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

Are you passionate about technology and mechanics? Join Infrabel as a Specialized Machinist in this exciting remote opportunity! You will be at the heart of producing railway components, ensuring quality and precision in every piece you work on.

What You'll Do

• Manufacture, assemble, and machine railway components using CNC machines (milling machines, lathes, etc.).
• Participate in developing programs for numerical machines.
• Follow work instructions to perform assembly tasks accurately.
• Conduct quality control on machined parts to ensure they meet specifications.
• Work independently or in small teams on fixed day shifts, with occasional night shifts as needed.

Requirements

• Technical secondary education certificate or equivalent in mechanics.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in machining technology.
• Basic knowledge of machining technology and metrology.
• Ability to manufacture mechanical parts using numerical machines.
• Proficiency in reading mechanical manufacturing plans.
• Strong autonomy and teamwork spirit.

Nice to Have

• Experience with advanced CNC programming.
• Knowledge of safety standards in manufacturing.
• Familiarity with railway component specifications.
