About the Role

We are looking for a Social Media Editor (Remote Student Position) to join our team at the Port of Antwerp-Bruges. This is a fantastic opportunity for students who are passionate about storytelling and social media management. As a Social Media Editor, you will be responsible for creating engaging content that resonates with diverse audiences across various platforms. Your role will involve working independently to develop stories for our social media channels and writing articles for our website and magazines.

What You'll Do

• Craft compelling narratives and visual stories for our social media platforms, ensuring alignment with our communication strategy.
• Manage daily operations of social media channels, including conversation management and audience engagement.
• Collaborate with team members to gather input and verify information from relevant stakeholders in the port community.
• Adapt your writing style to suit different target audiences, ensuring clarity and correctness in all communications.
• Utilize your smartphone to capture authentic images that complement your written content.
• Participate in brainstorming sessions to discover interesting stories from the port and innovative ways to present them.
• Ensure that all content is 100% accurate by cross-checking facts and collaborating with colleagues.
• Contribute to the overall marketing and communication efforts of the Port of Antwerp-Bruges.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a degree in journalism, multimedia communication, or a related field.
• Strong writing skills and the ability to create engaging content for various platforms.
• Familiarity with social media management and content creation tools.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Preferred possession of a valid driver's license (B) for mobility within the port area.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to connect with people easily.
• A passion for storytelling and a keen eye for visual content.
