About the Role

We are seeking a Senior VDI Administrator to join our team. This role involves performing systems administration for the enterprise Omnissa solution, with a focus on configuring and deploying virtual machines. As a Senior VDI Administrator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring optimal performance and reliability of our VDI environments.

What You'll Do

  • Oversee the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of VMware Horizon VDI environments.
  • Provide advanced support for end-users, troubleshooting issues related to virtual desktops, applications, and connectivity.
  • Install, configure, and maintain Omnissa software.
  • Analyze and resolve problems associated with operating systems, servers, hardware, applications, and software.
  • Monitor systems performance and ensure compliance with security standards.
  • Maintain and monitor all patch releases and design various patch installation strategies.
  • Provide Tier 2 and 3 troubleshooting support, interfacing with end users and other technical teams.
  • Conduct vulnerability scanning and implement security measures to protect the VDI environment.

Requirements

  • Active Top Secret Security Clearance with SCI eligibility.
  • B.S. in Information Technology Management and 1+ years of systems administration experience.
  • Proficiency in virtualization technologies, particularly VMware Horizon.
  • DoD 8140 certified at the IAT-II level or equivalent.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and experience in a military or government IT environment.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Citrix Provisioning Services and Dell Wyse Endpoints.
  • Knowledge of networking protocols.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide outstanding customer service.
