Senior Technical Lead - Cloud Architecture and DevOps

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Technical Lead - Cloud Architecture and DevOps to join our innovative team at bikeleasing-service Deutschland. This remote position offers you the opportunity to shape the technical future of our multi-benefit platform, focusing on cloud architecture and DevOps practices.

What You'll Do

• Lead the architectural design and implementation of modern platform and software components, emphasizing microservices and API-first approaches.
• Oversee the migration and modernization of existing systems, ensuring a scalable and modular service architecture.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and efficient deployment processes to ensure reliable delivery.
• Build, coach, and develop a strong interdisciplinary development and DevOps team, including recruiting and establishing agile routines.
• Collaborate closely with product management, security, IT infrastructure, and external partners to ensure clear priorities and transparency in progress.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in software development and architecture of modern web and cloud systems (e.g., Kotlin, TypeScript, React, Node.js).
• Strong knowledge of microservices design, API-first models, and cloud operations, particularly on AWS.
• Proven technical leadership experience, ideally as a Lead Developer, Tech Lead, or Team Leader.
• Proficient in DevOps automation, containerization, Infrastructure as Code, monitoring, and logging.
• Good understanding of IT security and data protection, preferably in ISO-27001-like environments.
• Fluent in German, with excellent communication skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Terraform for Infrastructure as Code.
• Familiarity with agile methodologies and practices.
• Knowledge of industry best practices in cloud security.
