About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Java Software Engineer to join our dynamic team at Synechron. This Senior Java Software Engineer remote position offers the chance to work with a global leader in transaction intelligence, contributing to innovative solutions that transform businesses.

What You'll Do

• Design, develop, and optimize core features of our enterprise-grade transaction observability platform.
• Tackle complex engineering challenges related to large-scale, real-time data ingestion, indexing, and search.
• Build robust, high-performance backend components using advanced search technologies like Elasticsearch and Apache Lucene.
• Collaborate closely with your Scrum team to deliver impactful product improvements that enhance customer experience.
• Take ownership of technical decisions and contribute to the architectural evolution of the platform.
• Write clean, well-tested code while actively contributing to engineering best practices and standards.

Requirements

• Strong experience in Java development (Java 11 or higher) with a proven track record of building high-performance, production-grade systems.
• Solid understanding of software design principles and comfortable owning technical decisions end-to-end.
• Experience working in agile environments with clear communication and a collaborative team mindset.
• Product-oriented approach to development, focusing on delivering value to the customer.
• Hands-on experience with Elasticsearch or Apache Lucene is a plus.
• Familiarity with high-volume, real-time data processing systems and financial messaging formats is advantageous.

Nice to Have

• Experience in the fintech or regtech industry.
• Working knowledge of French.
