About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to join our team in a remote capacity. This role offers the opportunity to work with one of the world’s leading global defense and aerospace companies, contributing to innovative projects that impact customers in over 100 countries.

What You'll Do

  • Collaborate with customers to understand complex needs and develop, validate, and manage requirements across multiple levels.
  • Develop complex system architectures and sub-systems using a Model Based Systems Engineering approach.
  • Integrate, analyze, and test real-time systems that encompass various technical disciplines including electronics, mechanics, optics, and software.
  • Take accountability for collaborative technical work package execution and ensure successful outcomes.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, nurturing talent within the team.
  • Verify that customer needs are met through effective systems development.
  • Steer new and improved systems development while implementing best practices in systems lifecycle processes.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in systems development within relevant product markets, particularly in control systems and real-time displays.
  • Experience with requirements management, design analyses, and modeling using tools such as DOORS, Siemens Polarion, and MATLAB.
  • A degree in a relevant Scientific/Engineering subject (e.g., Systems Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics).
  • Understanding of safety assessment processes and their influence on design.
  • Experience in customer and supplier liaison for technical aspects.
  • Eligibility for SC clearance, requiring a British passport and residency in the UK for the past 5 years.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in integration, testing, and verification of safety-related systems.
  • Knowledge of information assurance and cyber security related to embedded engineering products.
