Senior Software Engineer - Order Management System (OMS) Remote

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer - Order Management System (OMS) Remote to join our client's rapidly growing hedge fund. This unique opportunity involves relocating to Dubai, where you'll be part of a startup-like environment that fosters innovation and creativity. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will lead the technical execution of a proprietary Order Management System (OMS) build over a 3-4 year timeline.

What You'll Do

• Lead the technical development of the proprietary OMS from inception to production deployment.
• Design and build full trade flow infrastructure, integrating real-time market data feeds and execution systems.
• Architect and implement central reference security data systems, collaborating closely with trading desks across APAC regions.
• Make key technical decisions regarding system architecture and technology stack selection.
• Develop and maintain core trading system APIs, ensuring low-latency execution and operational reliability.
• Provide technical leadership within a small, full-stack engineering team, focusing on hands-on coding.
• Identify and implement opportunities to automate recurring issues, enhancing system stability.
• Collaborate directly with traders and portfolio managers to translate workflow requirements into technical solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field with 5+ years of hands-on software engineering experience.
• Proven experience building or working extensively with Order Management Systems (OMS) in financial environments.
• Deep understanding of the OMS system lifecycle, including order routing and execution management.
• Experience with FlexTrade or similar OMS platforms, including API integration.
• Proficiency in trading system fundamentals such as FIX protocol and market data feeds.
• Hands-on experience with central reference data systems and security master data management.
• Comfortable working across multiple programming languages, with Rust/Python preferred.
• Strong individual contributor with the ability to lead technical initiatives.

Nice to Have

• Expertise in FlexTrade platform configuration and API development.
• Experience at quantitative hedge funds or high-frequency trading firms.
• Knowledge of low-latency optimization techniques.
• Familiarity with modern cloud infrastructure and DevOps practices.
• Active participation in quant/trading engineering communities.
