About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Software Development Engineer to join our team at LivePerson. This remote position allows you to work from anywhere while contributing to our innovative Conversational AI platform. As a Senior Software Development Engineer specializing in Node.js and Python, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our AI-driven customer experiences.

What You'll Do

• Lead the design and implementation of critical backend components, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Develop high-volume, low-latency applications for mission-critical systems.
• Create reliable, scalable, and high-performance services in distributed systems.
• Debug production issues and maintain existing codebases to ensure platform stability.
• Participate in on-call rotations to support mission-critical services.
• Provide mentorship and technical leadership to a small team of engineers.
• Conduct code reviews and knowledge-sharing sessions to enhance team growth.
• Utilize your expertise in databases, cloud platforms, and data processing frameworks.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in software development, particularly with Node.js and Python.
• Deep understanding of data structures and algorithm design.
• Experience with LLMs, RAG, and vector databases.
• Proficiency in SQL and NoSQL databases like Cassandra and MySQL.
• Familiarity with data processing frameworks such as Kafka, Airflow, and Apache Spark.
• Experience building REST APIs and debugging microservice-based applications.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes and cloud platforms like AWS or GCP.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Git, Jenkins, and other development tools.
• Familiarity with Generative AI technologies.
• Previous experience in a product-based IT company.
