What You'll Do

• Develop and maintain our cloud-managed intercom systems, contributing to one of the fastest-growing product lines in Verkada's history.
• Collaborate with a dynamic team of firmware, mobile, and frontend engineers to deliver best-in-class products and experiences.
• Drive technical direction and lead teams on project execution, ensuring high-quality mobile applications.
• Write multi-threaded, asynchronous code and work closely with backend server APIs.
• Utilize your strong UI development skills to create intuitive user interfaces.
• Conduct unit testing and ensure the reliability of the applications you develop.
• Take ownership of mobile applications end-to-end, resolving problems that span beyond team boundaries.
• Engage in cross-functional collaboration to design complex and latency-sensitive systems.

Requirements

• 7+ years of industry experience in mobile software engineering.
• 2+ years of professional experience as a mobile engineer at a rapidly growing startup or innovative company.
• In-depth understanding of Swift and the iOS SDK.
• Experience writing multi-threaded, asynchronous code.
• Strong UI development and unit testing skills.
• Proven track record of shipping significant products.
• Ownership mentality with a focus on delivering best-in-class products.
• BS or graduate degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.

Nice to Have

• Experience with cloud-based applications and services.
• Familiarity with video security and access control systems.
• Knowledge of agile development methodologies.
