Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) - Remote

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) - Remote to join our dynamic team. As a Senior SDET, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products through automated testing and quality engineering practices. This position offers the flexibility to work remotely from anywhere within the 48 contiguous states, allowing you to balance your professional and personal life effectively.

What You'll Do

• Design and implement automated test frameworks for various applications using tools such as Selenium, JUnit, and Cucumber.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define testing strategies and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Conduct performance and load testing to validate application scalability and reliability.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies as a Scrum Master, facilitating discussions and ensuring team alignment.
• Utilize CI/CD pipelines to integrate testing processes into the development lifecycle, enhancing efficiency and quality.
• Mentor junior team members in best practices for test automation and quality assurance.
• Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve testing methodologies.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) or similar role.
• Proficiency in Java, Python, or TypeScript for test automation.
• Strong understanding of API testing, microservices architecture, and database testing (SQL).
• Experience with CI/CD tools and practices, including OpenShift and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and experience as a Scrum Master is a plus.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity standards such as NIST and FISMA is advantageous.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Nice to Have

• Experience with AI testing and automation frameworks like Playwright.
• Knowledge of Cobol, CICS, and DB2 for legacy systems testing.
• Familiarity with cross-platform testing strategies.
