Logistics Operative - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Logistics Operative to join our team at DACHSER. This is a fantastic opportunity for those looking to work remotely while contributing to a global logistics leader. As a Logistics Operative, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient handling of freight, meeting customer requirements, and maintaining high standards of safety and accuracy.

What You'll Do

• Handle and move goods within the warehouse efficiently and safely.
• Load and unload vehicles while adhering to safety regulations.
• Pick and pack orders accurately according to customer specifications.
• Operate Mechanical Handling Equipment (MHE) such as forklifts or pallet trucks safely.
• Report any damaged or incorrect stock following established procedures.
• Follow Health and Safety policies, including all Safe Systems of Work (SSOW).
• Utilize IT equipment daily (scanners, computers) to track and manage inventory.
• Complete all required documentation accurately and timely.
• Meet operational deadlines and productivity targets.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a warehouse environment, handling heavy and/or high-value goods.
• Strong team player with excellent communication skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
• Ability to work at a fast pace and meet deadlines.
• Computer literate with experience using warehouse management systems.
• Certified or willing to be trained in manual handling and MHE operation.
• Awareness of health and safety regulations and best practices.
• Good numeracy and literacy skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience with reach trucks (D2 license).
