Senior Site Reliability Engineer - Remote at MoonPay

About the Role

We’re hiring a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join our team at MoonPay. In this remote role, you will help us provide a resilient and secure production-ready platform that enables MoonPay to safely deploy applications and services. What You'll Do

• Enhance the resiliency and reliability of our current PaaS solution.
• Improve maintainability of our infrastructure as code.
• Build dashboards, monitoring, and alerting mechanisms using Datadog.
• Conduct load testing and performance tuning for our production services.
• Manage the lifecycle and maintenance of our Kubernetes clusters.
• Implement new technologies on top of Kubernetes to ensure scalability.
• Develop automated solutions to improve reliability across the production estate.
• Design and track metrics for site uptime and performance.
• Own deployment pipelines and continuously improve monitoring and alerting capabilities.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to provide timely feedback from our environments.

Requirements

• Strong systems administration skills and familiarity with Linux environments.
• Experience in Platform Engineering or SRE at leading startups or fast-growing tech companies.
• Proficiency in JavaScript frameworks such as TypeScript, Node.js, and React.
• Experience working in a regulated industry.
• Ability to guide developers on monitoring and logging of complex systems.
• Understanding of complex reliability structures, theories, and best practices.
• Experience with Kubernetes and cloud platforms like Google Cloud.
• Excellent collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.

Nice to Have

• Experience with tools like Postgres, Redis, and DataDog.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as ArgoCD.
• Knowledge of performance tuning and load testing methodologies.
