About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Reporting Engineer to join our dynamic team at Coderio. This Senior Reporting Engineer remote position offers you the opportunity to design, develop, and maintain high-performance analytical applications and services that power large-scale data pipelines and analytics platforms. You will be a key player in ensuring the performance and scalability of applications while working remotely.

What You'll Do

• Design and develop high-volume data analytics applications that meet the needs of our clients.
• Write well-structured and efficient code to ensure optimal performance.
• Ensure compliance with design specifications and best practices throughout the development process.
• Research emerging technologies for continuous improvement of our systems.
• Collaborate with Data Engineers and Analysts to enhance data processing capabilities.
• Work with distributed data processing frameworks to manage large datasets effectively.
• Utilize AWS ecosystem tools to support application development and deployment.
• Maintain proficiency in Python and SQL to drive data analytics initiatives.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in analytical or data-driven applications.
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL is essential for this role.
• Experience with Apache Spark, Hadoop, Hive, or Presto is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of data modeling techniques and best practices.
• Experience with NoSQL databases to handle diverse data types.
• Familiarity with ETL/ELT processes to ensure data integrity.
• Proficient with version control tools like GitHub for collaborative development.
• Advanced English proficiency to communicate effectively in a remote environment.

Nice to Have

• Experience with cloud computing platforms, particularly AWS.
• Familiarity with data visualization tools to present analytical findings.
