Senior QA Engineer - Backend Testing for FinTech

About the Role

We're hiring a Senior QA Engineer (Backend) to join our innovative team at Tabby. As a Senior QA Engineer, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of our backend systems and services, contributing to the financial freedom of over 15 million users. This Senior QA Engineer remote position allows you to work from anywhere while making a significant impact in the FinTech industry.

What You'll Do

• Design and implement automated test suites, including unit, integration, API, and end-to-end tests for backend services.
• Define and maintain QA processes and standards, introducing best practices for test planning, execution, and reporting.
• Conduct manual testing of backend services in a microservice architecture.
• Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and designers to ensure testability and early detection of issues.
• Drive continuous improvement of release quality, deployment pipelines, and overall developer productivity.
• Investigate and troubleshoot production issues, contributing to root-cause analysis and long-term fixes.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional QA experience, including hands-on experience testing mobile applications and backend systems.
• Experience testing backend services and APIs in a microservices environment.
• Proficiency with test automation frameworks and tools, including Go for backend automation and TypeScript + Playwright for frontend automation.
• Familiarity with mobile automation frameworks such as XCUITest and Kaspresso.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines, containerized environments (Docker/Kubernetes), and cloud platforms.
• Experience with test reporting and observability tools like Allure or equivalent.
• Strong communication skills in English.

Nice to Have

• Experience with monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, New Relic).
• A technology-agnostic approach to QA fundamentals.
