Senior Product Engineer - Back-End for Travel Solutions

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Product Engineer (Back-End) to join our Lifecycle Team at WeTravel. This fully remote position is open to candidates based in Bulgaria, Estonia, Hungary, Lithuania, Portugal, Romania, or Spain. As a Senior Product Engineer, you will play a crucial role in building and improving the core tools and workflows that help travel organizers manage their businesses efficiently. You will collaborate closely with product and engineering teams to deliver high-quality back-end solutions that enhance the traveler lifecycle experience.

What You'll Do

• Design, develop, and maintain back-end services and APIs that support our travel management platform.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
• Identify and fix bottlenecks and bugs in the back-end processes.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to team knowledge sharing.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in back-end development, preferably with Ruby on Rails.
• Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
• Experience with database management systems (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL).
• Proficiency in TypeScript and familiarity with React.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a remote environment.

Nice to Have

• Experience in the travel or hospitality industry.
• Knowledge of cloud services (AWS, Azure).
• Familiarity with CI/CD practices.
