Senior Product Designer - Payments for Automation

About the Role

We're hiring a Senior Product Designer - Payments to join our innovative team at Zapier. As a Senior Product Designer, you'll play a crucial role in shaping how customers interact with billing and payments across our platform. This is a fantastic opportunity to work remotely and make a significant impact on our users' experience.

What You'll Do

• Design intuitive experiences that help customers understand and verify their billing and payment processes.
• Own the end-to-end UX for subscription and usage-based billing, ensuring clarity in how plans and charges are presented.
• Shape billing-aligned usage tracking and reporting, contributing to the design of Usage Insights and other billing-related features.
• Create clear notifications and threshold moments that empower customers to manage their billing effectively.
• Improve flows for managing taxes, currency, credits, and invoice history, enhancing customer confidence in their billing settings.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to ensure designs are feasible and align with success metrics.
• Support both self-serve and Enterprise billing workflows, ensuring a seamless experience for all users.
• Iterate on designs based on user feedback and research, continuously improving the user experience.

Requirements

• 5-7 years of experience as a product designer, with a strong portfolio showcasing end-to-end design work.
• Experience in designing for complex billing, usage, or subscription information.
• Strong understanding of financial UX and the ability to make complex information understandable.
• Proficiency in design tools and methodologies, with a focus on user-centered design.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including PMs and engineers.
• Comfortable working with data-heavy experiences and designing for various user needs.
• Excellent communication skills and a passion for creating inclusive and accessible designs.

Nice to Have

• Experience with AI tools and their application in design processes.
• Familiarity with automation tools and their impact on user experience.
• Knowledge of billing systems and financial regulations.
