Engineering Manager - CAPEX Projects (Remote)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to join our team at Royal Cosun, focusing on CAPEX projects across Europe. This Engineering Manager remote position offers a unique opportunity to lead technical teams and manage significant projects in the food and biobased industry.

What You'll Do

• Lead technical projects from design to completion, ensuring adherence to scope, budget, and deadlines within our existing Duynie factories.
• Oversee large-scale CAPEX projects (10–25 million euros) across Europe, including the construction and optimization of circular separation factories.
• Manage a growing team of six project leaders and collaborate with external technical partners.
• Develop innovations in process technology and prepare CAPEX calculations, forecasts, and feasibility analyses.
• Report and advise the Operations Director Ingredients on opportunities, risks, and strategic technical developments.
• Travel approximately 30% of your time for projects and site visits across Europe.

Requirements

• 5–10 years of experience managing large-scale technical projects, particularly in the construction of new factories and CAPEX projects.
• Background in the food or biobased industry with a strong understanding of production processes and process technology.
• Strong technical foundation in mechanical engineering, process technology, or industrial engineering.
• Experience with EPC projects (turnkey projects) is preferred.
• Excellent organizational skills, clear communication, and the ability to connect and guide teams, suppliers, and stakeholders effectively.
• Fluency in Dutch and English, both written and spoken.
• Willingness to work 40 hours per week and travel flexibly across Europe.

Nice to Have

• Experience in managing projects within a circular economy context.
• Familiarity with CAPEX project calculations and financial forecasting.
