About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Payroll Associate remote to join our dynamic team at Deel. As a Senior Payroll Associate, you will take ownership of payroll processing activities and provide guidance to junior team members. This role is critical in ensuring compliance with payroll laws and regulations while implementing process improvements across assigned payroll operations.

What You'll Do

• Oversee the processing of payroll data for employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Maintain accurate employee records and verify employee data, including salaries, hours worked, and deductions.
• Assist with payroll tax calculations and filings, ensuring adherence to local regulations.
• Provide support to employees for payroll-related questions and issues, fostering a positive work environment.
• Lead the implementation of new payroll processes and systems to enhance efficiency.
• Mentor junior team members, sharing your expertise in payroll systems and regulations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• 3-5 years of experience in payroll or a related field, with a strong understanding of payroll laws and regulations.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in processing payroll data.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with employees.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets for data management.
• Ability to lead and mentor junior team members, fostering a collaborative work environment.
